Barnowski & Associates P.C. is a second generation family firm that has been serving the business community for over fifty years. Ken Barnowski, Sr. founded the firm in 1956, and became well known and respected for his understanding of machine and labor hour costing and business valuations. Ken assisted several clients in their growth from start-up businesses to multi-million dollar corporations. He also dedicated his life to raising a family of seven children and serving the community as little league coach, parish council president, and founder of the Oakland Catholic Credit Union. The partners and staff of Barnowski & Associates continue to follow his example and emulate his integrity and lifelong dedication to clients, profession and community.

At U of M, Walt studied under Professor Walter Kell, who pioneered and helped implement the new risk-based auditing standards.
